BM battery-powered lifting magnet 5,000 kg
Battery-powered lifting magnet with remote control of 5,000 kg, 460 mm high, order code BM5000. Five tonnes, the maximum capacity in the series. This is the magnet of steel service centres and heavy structural steelwork, where the load arrives on the bench in whole bundles and has to be broken down without slings. The BM control unit carries two functions that change daily work: Variable Force adjusts the holding force to pick a set number of sheets from a stack, while Tip-Off releases the load gradually, as thin sheet requires. The infrared remote control works up to 10 metres and the controls remain on the unit itself as well. Synoptic display with charge indicator, switch-off blocked while the load is suspended, audible and visual low-battery alarms, universal steel lifting eye.
