Tilting and rotating benches and positioners

Scissor and chain lift tables

How to choose height-adjustable workbenches
Adjustment: electric, battery or cordless driver
Electric 230 V when the bench stays near a socket and changes height many times a day: buttons, memories, zero effort. Battery when the bench moves around the department. Cordless driver when cost, simplicity and the absence of cables matter: the self-locking spindle holds the height without brakes and adjusts even at full load. Electro-hydraulic only for multi-tonne loads that must rise smoothly.
Capacity: the weight on the top, not the weight of the bench
From 100 kg for electronics to 12,000 kg for moulds. Count the heaviest part that will sit on the top, plus the fixtures and the thrust of the tools. Above 2,000 kg the sections of the structure and the number of legs change, from four to six; above 5,000 kg the adjustment is always motorised.
Top: wood, steel, perforated, stainless or antistatic
30 mm plywood for assembly and general workshop; 10 mm steel for fabrication and impacts; Ø 16 mm perforated steel or system 16, 22 and 28 welding plate for fixturing and welding; stainless for food and pharmaceutical; antistatic HDPE for electronics; white melamine for laboratory. Sizes from 500×500 to 4,000×2,000 mm.
Base: feet, castors or plate
Adjustable industrial feet for the fixed bench on an uneven floor; ball-bearing castors with brakes to move it; plate to anchor for single-column benches that must not move. Many models have castors and feet together: brake, level, work.
Functions: tilting, rotating, lifting
A top tilting up to 60 or 90° brings the face of the part to the operator; a rotating platform presents it on all sides without re-clamping; scissor tables cover long travels from the floor. When the job always repeats the same movements, one of these functions is worth more than any other accessory.
Standards and delivery
Every bench is a machine under Directive 2006/42/EC: it arrives with CE marking, declaration of conformity and manual, assembled and ready for use. Periodic inspection of the equipment is the employer's responsibility under Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Height-adjustable workbenches: the most common questions
Electric if the height changes many times a day and there is a socket nearby: buttons and memories do the work. Cordless driver if the bench moves, if there is no power or if the budget is lower: the self-locking spindle adjusts even at full load and never drops by itself.
Yes, on all models of the range up to the rated capacity: the adjustment is sized for the maximum load, not the empty bench. Above 5,000 kg the adjustment is assisted by a motor with control panel.
The standard travel runs from 750 to 1,150 mm and covers seated and standing work; the 650-950 mm version is for low work and tall parts, the 600-1,200 mm one for single-column benches. For scissor lift tables the travel starts at 250-340 mm from the floor.
The nitrided welding plate with system 16, 22 or 28 holes, or the Ø 16 mm perforated steel top: both take the squares and clamps of modular systems. Tilting and rotating benches reduce re-clamping by up to 70%.
