Heavy aluminium beam cross-member (TRC)

The TRC cross-beam is the top of the aluminium family: 6,000 kg capacity on the short beam, with the same logic as its smaller sisters — lower attachments adjustable along a row of holes and a central suspension hook. It weighs a fraction of a steel lifting beam of the same capacity, and that changes who can move it and how.
Capacity falls as the span grows, as on any cross-beam: 6,000 kg up to 1 metre, 4,000 kg at 3 metres, 2,000 kg at 5 metres. The length is set when ordering in 5 cm steps, so the beam is made to suit the load instead of forcing the load to suit the beam.
The lower attachments move along the adjustment holes with a minimum spacing of 100 mm and 50 mm increments, to centre the pick-up on the centre of gravity. Beam and lower attachment are in aluminium, the central attachment in powder-coated galvanized steel, the pins in electro-galvanized steel.
